The Foundation’s mission is to conduct research and disseminate information that drive continuous improvement in the meat and poultry industry and enable meat and poultry companies to exceed expectations in key areas like food safety, nutrition, animal welfare and sustainability.
The Foundation’s vision is to be the preeminent scientific, technical and educational resource for meat and poultry companies.
The Foundation for Meat and Poultry Research and Education (Foundation) is a 501c3, non-profit research, education and information Foundation managed by the North American Meat Institute. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors and supported by voluntary contributions from individuals, companies. The Foundation is also a contractor to the Beef Checkoff.
The Foundation conducts research and provides scientific evidence and information to government agencies, media, customers and consumers to empower them with information to select and prepare safe and nutritious meat and poultry products for their families.
